London Olympics to ban Social Media
Seriously? It’s 2012 people – not 1908. If Britain is serious about banning social media during the Olympics – including passing 2 laws to enforce it (yes, really) – I think we should be removed from future consideration for holding them. The ban originally applied to the volunteer workers, but applies to all ticket holders and – basically – everyone there. So, can I tweet about it if I’m watching it on TV? Don’t worry. I won’t be tuning in this year.
UPDATE: According to the lawyer over on Social Media Today, it looks like you can tweet about the games as long as you are an individual not connected with the games or their organisation: Story here.
