Poster for the movie "The Darkest Hour"

The Darkest Hour

Despite the poor reviews and the general formulaic nature of this story, it was entertaining. The concept behind the aliens was very interesting, although poorly executed visually IMHO. It’s another of those “aliens invade and wipe out most of humanity” movies that we’ve seen a few of recently and leaves us with a feeling that a part 2 is necessary to enlighten us on the alien’s backstory, as well as how we deal with them. Can’t movies be complete nowadays?
